Simon Miller
Inspired by natural textures.
Simon Miller offers a collection of timeless, crafted and lived-in ready to wear. Structured yet effortless. Sophisticated but slightly worn in.
The L.A. based brand was founded on the principles of Japanese fabrication and modern American craftsmanship. The collection focuses on high quality textured fabrics and advanced wash treatments, offering a sophisticated, natural ease and a super soft feel to the pieces. Warm, touchable textures are a big part of the Simon Miller aesthetic, think crochet, mohair, and suede paired with their signature jeans.
But Simon Miller is more than just a clothing brand, the clothes represent a lifestyle. The Simon Miller woman probably lives in a sparse apartment with vintage rugs, unpretentious artwork, and cozy blankets thrown on the couch, and she wears jeans -of course- but not the trendy cropped flares or culottes we’ve been seeing for over a year. The new Simon Miller denim was cropped with frayed edges, or patchworked and rinsed in natural indigo.
The brand's 'Fall 2016 Ready to Wear' collection presentation took place at Double Knot, a cozy rug gallery at the northern edge of Tribeca. Models were standing on wooden crates among piles of oriental rugs, a live band was playing by the door, and sushi was being rolled in the middle of all the action. This wasn’t just about what the Simon Miller girl wants to wear, it was about her lifestyle, too.
The Simon Miller collection is developed between the brand's New York showroom and their Los Angeles headquarters.
