Description
The Chicken cooking pot is handmade. For over 300 years, 85% of the people livin have been working together to create ceramics, using ancestral techniques that have been passed on from generation to generation.
The artisans source a specific type of clay from the shores of the Rio Magdalena. Once the clay is molded into its desired form, they are dried in the sun and then polished with precious stones. The objects are then placed in the oven at 800°C. Finally, the artisans start the smoking process using a combination of dried local spices. This final step gives the pottery its iconic black color.

Care instructions
Before using the object for the first time, wash it well. Then, fill half of the pan with water and let it cook for 30 minutes in the oven at 200°C.On gas or electric stove, in the oven and microwave. No induction. Please keep in mind when cooking in clay, the cookware does not like quick, extreme temperature changes. Bring up the heat slowly.
